Just One Funny Moment

So some of you know how my friend T and I have been watching the original Star Trek TV show.  And laughing at some of the very "60's" moments... one being when two individuals are chastised for kissing.  So T jokingly made a comment of "kissing and holding hands makes babies!" which was an archaic wives tale told to young girls to save their modesty.  After considering the sarcastic comment she just made, T turned to me and said "Maybe that's what you and Scott need to do more, hold hands.  Then you'll have a baby!" We had a good laugh.

I just figured it was worth adding to all the ridiculous advice like "just relax" and "it will happen when the time is right" and "just adopt!".

There is a more serious post below, written earlier today. But hopefully this mini-post amused you as much as it did me :)

  1. Maybe you should add dancing to the list... because you know that dancing leads directly to getting pregnant, right? lol!

  2. Ooooo, good one! I'll suggest that to Scott. So we have dancing, holding hands, getting drunk (I've had people honestly tell me we should just get drunk, and then I try to explain that isn't how conception works...) and relaxing... hm, sounds like a trip to Cabo to me ;)

  3. My grandma's friend told me today that since my husband is only home once a week right now THIS is when it's going to happen....lol...people and their crazy theories. Although I'd try just about anything - so I'll be holding hubby's hand even more than I already do ;) haha!

  4. I am honored you mentioned me! Thank you so much for your congratulations.

I loved your monster description, but just so you know, mine still haven't gone away. They kept me up last night for quite some time. Wonder if they ever do or if they just change form even after you have kids.

I'm sorry you were up all night, I wish there was something I could do. :/

  6. Well, it can't hurt to hold hands more. :-) But also, today is William Shatner's 80th birthday and it's "Talk Like William Shatner Day" - can you do a whole blog post like that? LOLOLOL
